CMMI for Development & Service

01

CMMI for Development:

The CMMI for Development (or CMMI-DEV) model is a set of best practices designed to help product and software development and support companies improve their products and, as a result, increase customer satisfaction. Every business today wants its services and goods to be provided in a more efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner. A CMMI certification recognizes your organization's dedication to process improvement.

02

CMMI for Service:

The CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) process maturity model is part of the CMMI product line. It's a methodology that helps companies improve their IT service delivery processes and assess the maturity of their IT operations. The CMMI-SVC model is industry-neutral and can be used in any service business.

CMMI-SVC organizes established practises into a structure that may be used to assess an organization's maturity and process area competency, determine improvement priorities, and manage a process improvement plan.

Consulting

GAP Analysis

CUNIX Infotech can provide a CMMI Consultant for Process Gap Analysis/Assessment for any CMMI Model.

CMMI-certified organizations develop and use a standard set of processes, including artefacts like policies, procedures, templates, checklists and guidelines. These documented process components constitute a QMS (Quality Management System) implemented in the organization's projects and service operations. But the question is: How to ensure that organization QMS fulfils the requirements of CMMI Maturity Levels?

Gap Analysis is a method for identifying gaps (non-compliances) and areas of process improvement in the QMS. Organizations can systematically close all non-compliances reported in the gap analysis report. This process can be repeated until all non-compliances are completed. At this point, the organization is said to comply with the defined CMMI Maturity Level.

Organizations may appoint external CMMI Consultants to undertake Process Gap Analysis to get an accurate and unbiased result. CUNIX Consultants conduct such process gap analysis with their decades of experience and enhance the organisation's QMS. The deliverable of a process gap analysis is a compliance report to the management that includes strengths, weaknesses, and Improvement Opportunities.

The gap analysis may use a formal appraisal method such as a CMMI Evaluation Appraisal. Several organizations have developed processes not used consistently (habitually and persistently) in the projects and departments. Gap analysis determines if the methods are utilized effectively in a habitual environment. Thus, the organisations leverage the effort and investment in process development adequately. Only complete and consistent business processes contribute to the organization's business objectives.

01

AS-IS Gap Analysis

The objective is to identify the gaps, non-compliances and process improvement opportunities in the documents and implementation. The AS-IS Gap Analysis can be conducted before implementing CMMI or during the implementation cycles at appropriate milestones. AS-IS Gap Analysis gives discrete r estimates about the time, effort and resources the initiative shall consume to reach its end objective.
